Property taxes in Keene are among the highest in the Granite State, with the bulk of those taxes going to the Keene School District. There have been several ideas proposed to solve this problem, including but not limited to implementation of a state income tax and directing lottery revenues to the only be used for educational purposes. I oppose the implementation of a either statewide income tax or a broad-based sales tax for any purpose. However I would not oppose directing lottery revenues to education if such revenue led to a decrease in taxation instead of simply an increase in spending.

If elected I will:
1) support any efforts to reduce taxation; and
2) oppose any efforts to increase any existing tax rates
3) oppose any efforts to implement any new forms of taxation.
